Rhonda thrives on transforming complex challenges into breakthrough experiences for iconic brands such as Disney, Trane Technologies, NASA, and Lockheed Martin. Her passion lies in tackling complex challenges in developing strategy, experience design, product development, and overall transformation — leveraging her skills as an approachable consultant, a design-for-humans strategist, a pragmatic technologist, and a resolute executor.  

Rhonda’s career showcases her broad experience spectrum, spanning multiple industries and high-profile organizations. Her early career was spent leading large-scale systems engineering programs and teams at NASA, Rockwell International, and Lockheed Martin. At Lockheed Martin, Rhonda spearheaded the F-22 man-in-the-loop modeling and simulation program and was awarded the Nova Award for leadership — the corporation’s highest recognition. Before IfThen, Rhonda held significant roles at Turner Broadcasting, including VP of Emerging Social Web Technologies, and VP of Digital and Broadcast Systems, where she led teams that didn’t just develop products; they crafted experiences that redefined how audiences perceive and engage with CNN, HBO, Nascar, Sports Illustrated, and Turner Broadcasting brands.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Rhonda is a passionate knowledge catalyst and is frequently called upon to help inspire and transform large teams. She served as a Distinguished Fellow and Professor of Practice at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Co-founder of the MediaLab accelerator at Turner Broadcasting to teach and nurture the next great innovators.

Rhonda holds degrees in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), and Washington University in St. Louis. At UCSC, She was awarded the Chairman’s Award for her thesis on extraterrestrial engineering and finally got to meet one of her heroes, Freeman Dyson.
