A new beat for fresh eats
Tin Drum Asiacafé is a growing restaurant chain with locations in the Southeast. Beyond food, brand elements include the energy of bustling Asian street cafés, sensory impressions prompted by bold environmental art, and mood-setting signature music in all of its stores. To prepare for the next level of ambitious growth, the owners needed a new logo and a visual identity system.
The wordmark is typeset in Futura Bold to battle for the attention of hungry drivers and pedestrians. The embedded chevron symbolizes a tin drum, a bowl with chopsticks, and also a hidden mischievous smile.
Extending the visual brand, we created a witty and eclectic illustration style to be used as a part of Tin Drum's external communications system.
The website captures the boldness of the brand while encouraging menu and location exploration.
