AGCO

Feeding today’s world is a high-tech industry requiring constant innovation to deliver consistently higher yields in a changing environment. AGCO Corporation is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision technology and has turned to IfThen for more than a decade to help them create and sustain global reaching, scalable solutions that solve their unique business needs.

Our History
IfThen’s partnership with AGCO began in 2012 with the redesign and implementation of two brand websites. The design and strategy challenge was to communicate each brand’s distinct identity and value proposition while positioning them clearly within AGCO’s broader global portfolio. The sites needed to communicate differentiated product offerings, surface complementary solutions, and offer a seamless, user-focused experience. To support this vision, IfThen enhanced the customer experience by improving search functionality, surfacing relevant and contextual content, incorporating customer testimonials, and introducing interactive tools—such as equipment finders and product comparison features—to better guide user decisions. The digital journey was further optimized by ensuring that customers could easily identify and connect with dealers offering the specific equipment they needed, tailored to their interests and region.

Since then, IfThen has grown to serve as AGCO’s primary integration partner, supporting their global Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) infrastructure and digital platforms across all of their brands. With a long-term seat at the table, IfThen has played a central role in the digital evolution of AGCO’s brand presence—leading the implementation and launch of numerous brand websites and, in many cases, rebuilding and relaunching them years later with refreshed designs, new capabilities, and a future-ready approach. One such example being AGCO’s global corporate site that recently underwent a complete redesign to align with modern design standards, accessibility best practices, and global scalability.

Digital Transformation

From building new platforms that serve global users to reimagining how dealers and customers interact with AGCO’s brands online, IfThen has worked alongside AGCO teams to deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions that reflect both business goals and user needs.

A historical foundation of strategic alignment and technical execution set the stage for a series of transformative digital initiatives — each designed to meet AGCO’s evolving needs and ambitions.

One such initiative is the Customer Connected Distribution (CCD) platform — a B2C digital marketplace designed to streamline how AGCO’s dealers and customers engage. Built exclusively for dealers, the platform allows them to showcase both new and used equipment to a wide audience.

  • Non-authenticated users can browse inventory and locate nearby dealers.
  • Registered users gain access to self-service tools for equipment upgrades, trade-ins, warranty info, maintenance scheduling, side-by-side comparisons, and more — significantly reducing the need for manual dealer engagement.

Key Achievements

  • Integrated highly customized Salesforce APIs to dynamically display dealer-specific inventory
  • Enabled secure identity management through Salesforce and MuleSoft integration
  • Built a fully authenticated user experience, layered with self-service tools
  • Navigated complex technical requirements while coordinating across multiple vendor teams

While CCD focused on enhancing the customer and dealer experience, AGCO also saw the need to streamline internal and partner-facing resources. This led to the development of the AGCO Brand Hub — a centralized, secure platform designed to give employees, dealers, and agency partners easy access to up-to-date brand resources across regions and roles.

Brand Hub

IfThen led the technical implementation of the Brand Hub, bringing AGCO’s vision to life through scalable AEM development, complex system integrations, and tailored role-based access controls.

The platform streamlined content management and enabled personalized, permission-aware experiences for users across AGCO’s global network.

Key Achievements

  • Implemented multi-identity authentication flows to support secure access for dealers and employees across regions
  • Developed a centralized Brand Asset Portal with role-based access to logos, templates, promotional materials, and official brand guidelines
  • Integrated Solr to deliver fast, permission-aware asset search functionality
  • Configured seamless content ingestion from a third-party system into AEM DAM and Experience Fragments, reducing publishing friction
  • Enabled Adobe Target for dynamic content personalization based on user type, region, and brand affiliation
  • Built adaptive navigation structures tailored to user roles and brand relationships

As AGCO’s digital operations expanded, the need for a more scalable, efficient, and cloud-ready platform also emerged. IfThen led the transition to Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service — spearheading the migration strategy, re-architecting the core platform, and guiding phased rollouts across brands and regions.

The result was a modernized infrastructure that enabled faster deployments, reduced maintenance overhead, and delivered greater agility to support AGCO’s global growth.

Key Achievements

  • Migrated 60+ websites across brands, regions, and languages with zero downtime
  • Rebuilt indexing and vanity URL systems for cloud-native compatibility
  • Successfully migrated user groups, permissions, and Solr processes to Adobe IO
  • Re-architected platform code for cloud-native best practices
  • Maintained continuity by separating active development and cloud migration pipelines
  • Executed content and asset migrations with dedicated QA/UAT environments
  • Increased platform performance and reduced IT overhead through automation and modern deployment workflows
Few partnerships span over a decade with continued momentum and strategic alignment.
IfThen’s work with AGCO is a testament to the value of long-term digital stewardship, platform expertise, and a deep understanding of both global enterprise systems and user-centric design.

It’s a unique privilege to maintain a partnership of this depth and longevity and IfThen remains committed to helping AGCO scale globally, adapt locally, and stay ahead of the curve, by continuing to deliver meaningful digital experiences that drive lasting impact.
